To mark our organization\u2019s 50th anniversary, Simon Jolin-Barrette, Minister of Justice, paid a moving tribute to our mission and to our work with youth victims of sexual violence in the Salon Rouge of the National Assembly of Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"526\" data-end=\"941\">At the Minister\u2019s invitation, Lisa Clowery, President and CEO, and Genevi\u00e8ve Poulin, Associate Executive Director, travelled to Qu\u00e9bec City to attend the reading of a motion officially recognizing Marie-Vincent\u2019s five decades of dedication. The Minister spoke to the importance of our role in protecting, supporting, and helping children and youth heal, as well as in assisting the professionals who work with them.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"1249\">In a deeply moving moment, all members of the National Assembly rose to give our team a standing ovation. This symbolic gesture was received with great emotion by our representatives and stands as a collective acknowledgement of the hard work, compassion, and resilience shown by every member of our staff.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1843\">Following the motion, Minister Jolin-Barrette took time to personally speak with Lisa Clowery and Genevi\u00e8ve Poulin, asking after the team and reaffirming his support for our mission. This event is a testament to the Minister\u2019s commitment to combatting sexual violence, protecting youth, and supporting the organizations that dedicate themselves to this essential work. We are especially grateful for the invaluable support from the Ministry of Justice over the past several years, both for our overall mission and for specific projects that have significantly improved access to our services.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1845\" data-end=\"2075\">This public recognition is a tribute to all of our staff, past and present, as well as to our partners and allies. It highlights the tangible impact of our work on the lives of thousands of young people and families across Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2077\" data-end=\"2248\">Thank you to everyone who, day after day, helps make Marie-Vincent a place of safety, support, and hope.
